That this is a woman-owned firm means a lot to me. Everyone here is an advocate for each other. I really feel that it’s a family. The communication aspect is a big thing. I see powerful and brilliant women working together, not just one woman at the top.
I would say our mission, besides building wealth for our clients, is to get people comfortable with big ideas. We want to get people excited about ideas that can go long-term and be part of the future.
I really started to love my job when we launched the mutual funds. It offered access to people who maybe didn’t have a million dollars to invest. Especially for people my age—it gave us the opportunity to invest in companies that we are passionate about.
As an investment associate I help the portfolio management team with research, listening to earnings calls, writing buy checklists and trading. Which means I’ve got a better understanding of what is going on in the portfolio. I can see what we’re selling, what we’re buying, maybe where things are moving price wise.
I’ve learned a ton from Anthony. He’s very detailed and thorough, and at the same time, his information very concise—down to the most salient points. He always gives me really great feedback on buy reports.

With Lea, I help write a quarterly newsletter for all of our clients. We take our top and bottom performing companies and summarize for our clients why these stocks went up or down. We make it digestible, for people who aren’t looking at the numbers every day or maybe aren’t from Wall Street.
I’m process-oriented, and Jim jokes that I am the queen of processes. I like to think ‘how could we make this more streamlined, more efficient.’
My dad’s advice was always, be safe, be smart, have fun. Which I think connects to my process thing. Have a plan, but if it deviates, that’s okay, too.
I am a 2019 Level III candidate in the CFA Program. It takes a lot of self-discipline and forces you to think, ‘Do I really want this?’ Yes, I definitely want it.
