Compliance & Business Administration Team
My official title is Associate. I help manage the business side of the firm. So I handle accounts payable, track paid time off, quarterly tax filings, that kind of thing. I take care of donations that take place on the philanthropic side of the business. It’s a support role for many different functions.
I work a lot with Alexa and Leslie, who happens to be my sister. I’ve known Nancy since our University of Washington days. We were in the same sorority. I’ve just been so impressed with Alexa, how bright she is and how detail oriented she is. It’s a real pleasure working with both of them.
I really enjoy that my work is varied. Working part-time is my choice. It’s a nice situation. There was a section on my yearly review that asked about my work-life balance and I had to say it was pretty good!
I think what’s different about our firm is how smart and focused the people are here. The consistency that the team has shown in our mission of building client wealth, I admire that. This whole crew is really dedicated to that.
I’d say my flexibility is a strength. So many of the procedures that we do
Our culture is no drama, people get their work done. There is such a focus on doing a great job, and working with all the systems that we have. There are the normal frustrations that come up, but it’s really a great group of people. We are working to be as forward-thinking as we possibly can be. In our systems, and in our pursuit of new business, and how we grow.

I’d want our clients to know that the people here have a tremendous knowledge base and breadth of experience in doing what they do. Over time, this approach has shown itself to be a valid and productive method of investing. Nancy and Leslie and Brooke and that whole team really bring a lot to the table.
When I’m not at work, I like to stay active. I ski and not too long ago I took up biking. I just saw the film Bohemian Rhapsody which was great. The last two books I read were, Educated by Tara Westover, and Red Notice, by Bill Browder. Both were fabulous.
I have a great deal of respect for my parents and for my dad. Just the way he conducted business. He is a very personable man, a man of his word. He was in clothing manufacturing. “Do what you say you’re going to do,” he always said. He has a lot of integrity.
